Refund policy

At Bergenhof Knives, we are committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction with our products. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, our Return Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which you can return your item(s) for a refund or exchange.

1. Eligibility for Returns

  • Time Frame: You have 30 days from the date of receipt to initiate a return. After 30 days, we are unable to offer a refund or exchange.
  • Condition of Items: To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging. Products that have been used, damaged, or altered in any way are not eligible for a return.
  • Proof of Purchase: A receipt or proof of purchase is required to process your return. Please include your order number in your return request.

2. Non-Returnable Items

Certain items are non-returnable, including:

  • Gift cards
  • Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Clearance"
  • Custom or personalized products
  • Used or damaged items

3. Return Process

3.1. Request a Return

To initiate a return, please contact us at contact@bergenhofknives.com with your order number and the reason for the return. We will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and detailed instructions on how to return your item.

3.2. Prepare Your Return

  • Packaging: Repack the item securely in its original packaging. Include all accessories, manuals, and documentation that were originally included with the product.
  • RMA Number: Clearly write the RMA number on the outside of the package. Returns without an RMA number will not be processed.

3.3. Ship Your Return

You are responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning your item, unless the return is due to a defect or an error on our part. We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and we are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.

4. Refunds

4.1. Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If your return is approved, a refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment within 10 business days.

4.2. Non-Refundable Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund unless the return is due to a defect or error on our part.

4.3. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund within the expected time frame, please first check with your bank or credit card company, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. 5. Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, please contact us at contact@bergenhofknives.com to arrange the exchange. We will provide instructions on how to return the defective item and ship the replacement product.

6. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately at contact@bergenhofknives.com. Provide your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if possible. We will arrange for a replacement or a refund, depending on your preference.

7. Return Shipping Address

Returns should be sent to the address provided in the return instructions you receive after contacting us for an RMA number. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer or any address other than the one provided.
